Something Amazing

4 April- After a solid sleep, in my gorgeous little Bayeux cottage, I headed off to view the Bayeux tapestry. It is really impressive in it's own right, before you remember it is almost 1,000 years old.

Then I jumped in the car and headed to Mont St Michel. It is all the superlatives I can think of. Amazing, awe inspiring, breath taking... you name it.

From about 20 km away, you can see this giant Abbey on the horizon. It was a massive climb to get to the top, but I made it without a rest, spurred on by the fact that I had just over 2 hours before my car got washed into the sea, by the extraordinary tides. They can be as high as 13 metres and the current is strong enough to move cars!

I made it to the top, the view was spectacular. I took a gazillion photos.
